"DESPERATE" ATTEMPT TO KEEP TRUMP OFF THE BALLOT FOR 2024

Judicial Watch President @TomFitton appeared on “Mornings with Maria” on @FoxBusiness to discuss the Michigan Supreme Court ruling Trump will stay on the state ballot, the investigation and impeachment of President Biden, and more!

US Supreme Court Officially Asked to Overturn Colorado High Court Decision to Bar Trump From Ballot

The Republican Party of Colorado asked the US Supreme Court to overturn the state’s high court’s decision to bar Trump from the 2024 ballot. The Colorado Supreme Court last Tuesday disqualified Trump from the 2024 ballot.

All 7 Colorado Supreme Court justices were appointed by Democrats – 3 of the justices dissented to last week’s ruling.

The legal theories are based on Section 3 of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment which states public officials who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the US may be disqualified from public office.

Trump Speaks Directly to the Needs of Black People, BLM Leader Says

President Donald Trump has done more for black people than any president said Mark Fisher, a Black Lives Matter (BLM) leader who turned into a supporter of the former president.

"I believe that Donald Trump is the best current candidate that we have for the black community. I think he speaks directly to the needs of black people," he said during an interview with Newsmax.

"His record is proven. ... He has done more for black people than any president that I can think of in my lifetime. So I want to give him another opportunity."

Some politicians have been using race to deflect attention from their failures, Mr. Fisher told the media outlet.

Insiders on McCarthy’s Ouster; Two Behind-the-Scenes Factors

WASHINGTON—Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy's (R-Calif.) overly cautious approach to investigating allegations involving the Biden family and mismanaging the Republican congressional campaign in 2022 contributed to his historic ouster in October.

His fall was precipitated by eight disaffected Republicans, led by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), acting in concert with the House minority of 212 Democrats.

Mr. McCarthy has argued that he would still be speaker but for the intense personal animosity of Mr. Gaetz.

Donald Trump to Stay on Ballot After Michigan Supreme Court Rejects Appeal on Procedural Grounds

Former President Donald Trump will remain on the ballot in Michigan after the Michigan Supreme Court rejected an appeal rooted in the Constitution’s “Insurrection Clause,” although on procedural grounds.

Unlike the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision, the Michigan Supreme Court ruled that Trump can remain on the ballot for the state’s upcoming primary.

It upheld the unanimous ruling of Michigan’s Court of Appeals, where a three-judge panel held that the argument — that Trump “engaged in insurrection” — was not ripe (meaning that ruling on it would be premature).
